MES and SeaWestern Emergency Vehicles Announce Strategic Realignment of Apparatus Division
YAKIMA, WA – Municipal Emergency Services, Inc. (MES) and SeaWestern Emergency Vehicles (an MES Company) today announced a strategic restructuring of their emergency vehicle operations to better serve fire departments and first responders across the United States.
As part of this transition, MES and SeaWestern EV have officially divested the REV Group product lines, including all associated backlogs. This move allows the organization to sharpen its focus on delivering industry-leading apparatus solutions and expanding its manufacturing capabilities.
Partnership with Rosenbauer
Moving forward, MES is proud to announce it will be carrying the Rosenbauer line of emergency vehicles. As the world’s largest manufacturer of fire-service vehicles, Rosenbauer’s reputation for innovation and reliability aligns perfectly with the MES commitment to providing the highest quality equipment to the fire service. This partnership ensures that customers will have access to a premier fleet of aerials, pumpers, and rescues backed by the extensive MES service network.
Expansion of Yakima Operations
In a significant investment in North American manufacturing, MES will be converting its Yakima, Washington facility into a dedicated production hub. The facility will focus on the engineering and assembly of Wildland and other Specialty apparatus. By transitioning this location to a manufacturing-first site, MES aims to reduce lead times and provide highly specialized, rugged vehicles designed specifically for the demanding environments of wildland firefighting.
“This evolution marks a new chapter for our apparatus division,” said Paul Pathikal, SVP of Marketing and Commercial Excellence at MES. “By aligning with Rosenbauer and expanding our own manufacturing footprint in Yakima, we are positioning MES to provide more tailored, high-performance solutions to our customers than ever before.”
