Department Overview
Spokane County Fire District #8 protects communities south of Spokane, Washington, including Valleyford and surrounding unincorporated areas. The combination department provides fire suppression, EMS, and rescue services across suburban and rural environments.
Community & Response
Serving forested terrain and residential developments in the foothills, the district frequently responds to brush and interface fires. The SWEV Model 1 Wildland Units deliver efficient performance, quick attack capability, and expanded reliability during eastern Washington’s dry summer season.
