Built on Ford F-550 or Ram 5500 4x4 chassis, the Model 1 combines off-road capability, performance, high quality construction and flexible equipment storage in a platform designed specifically for wildland response operations.
Each apparatus is engineered internally by SeaWestern EV to ensure consistent plumbing, electrical systems, and structural integration across every build. Departments can configure tank size, pump systems, discharge layouts, topside and rear deck configurations, and equipment storage to match their operational needs while maintaining the reliability of a proven platform.

The proprietary SWEV Model 1 Body blends the versatility of a traditional service body with the robust strength of a flatbed.
A unique notched L1/R1 transverse compartment with a smooth outer door combines topside and underbody storage, maximizing space efficiency while maintaining durability and functionality. This design maximizes equipment storage, improves access to critical tools and pump components, and enhances approach and departure angles for off-road environments. The result is a rugged and practical apparatus layout built to support firefighters operating in challenging terrain.

Every SWEV Model 1 apparatus is engineered internally by SeaWestern EV to ensure consistent integration across plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components. This approach allows departments to configure their apparatus while maintaining proven system designs that improve reliability, simplify maintenance, and ensure long-term serviceability.
Using advanced CAD design tools, SeaWestern EV develops a complete digital model of each apparatus during the engineering process. Departments are able to review detailed visual proofs of their apparatus before construction begins, including equipment placement, discharge locations, storage layouts, and vehicle dimensions.
These full 3D renderings allow departments to visualize the finished apparatus and confirm critical details — from hose storage and pump controls to decals and graphics — ensuring confidence in the design before fabrication begins.
