Department Overview
Yakima County Fire District #3 serves the Town of Naches and surrounding foothill communities northwest of Yakima, Washington. The combination department provides fire suppression, EMS, and rescue services across a mix of residential, agricultural, and wildland areas. Known for its proactive training and community engagement, District 3 delivers dependable service throughout the upper Yakima Valley.
Community & Response
The district’s response area includes rugged wildland terrain, river corridors, and rural properties with limited access—conditions that demand versatile and maneuverable apparatus. The new Fouts FOUR Mini Pumper, built on a Ford F-550 chassis, enhances the department’s capability for initial attack, structure protection, and support operations during wildland and interface incidents across the Naches Valley region.
