Department Overview
Established in 1985, Rincon Valley Fire District serves the growing communities of southeastern metropolitan Tucson, including the Vail area, where desert terrain, expanding development, and the wildland-urban interface create a diverse emergency response environment. In addition to fire suppression and advanced life support EMS, the district maintains specialized capabilities in wildland firefighting, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, and regional mutual aid.
