Department Overview
Chelan County Fire District #3, based in Leavenworth, Washington, protects residential and wildland-urban interface areas throughout the Upper Wenatchee Valley. The department provides fire suppression, EMS, and rescue services with both career and volunteer personnel.
Community & Response
The district’s mountainous terrain and dry summers create a consistent wildfire threat each year. The KME Tender strengthens water delivery operations and supports extended-duration incidents where hydrant systems are limited, improving overall capability in the Leavenworth and Icicle Canyon regions.
