Department Overview

Kuna Rural Fire District serves the City of Kuna and surrounding unincorporated areas of Ada County, Idaho. Operating as part of the Kuna Fire Department, the district provides fire suppression, emergency medical, and rescue services across one of the fastest-growing communities in the Treasure Valley.

Community & Response

The district’s response area includes expanding residential neighborhoods, agricultural lands, and busy commuter routes leading toward Boise and Meridian. With rapid population growth driving higher call volumes, the SWEV Model 2 Rescue Unit adds critical support for EMS, rescue, and utility operations—improving versatility and response efficiency for the department’s all-hazards mission.
