Department Overview

Located in California’s Central Valley, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office oversees emergency operations and search and rescue across rugged and mountainous terrain. The office provides service across 2,147 square miles, covering both the valley floor and Sierra Nevada foothills.

Community & Response

Built for search and rescue deployment, this rescue supports backcountry and disaster response throughout Madera County’s vast, rural footprint. It carries extrication and emergency gear into hard-to-reach areas and serves in support of law enforcement missions.
