Department Overview
Sable Altura Fire & Rescue protects portions of eastern Aurora, Colorado, and unincorporated Arapahoe County. The combination department provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and rescue operations across a dynamic suburban and industrial interface area near Denver International Airport.
Community & Response
Serving a mix of residential communities, commercial developments, and open grasslands, Sable Altura’s response area experiences both high-density incidents and wildland interface threats. The SWEV Model 5 Wildland Unit provides the versatility and durability needed to manage everything from mutual aid wildland responses to structure protection during fast-moving grass fires on the Front Range.
