Department Overview

The Umatilla Tribal Fire Department serves the Umatilla Indian Reservation in northeastern Oregon, covering approximately 150 square miles and a population of around 3,500. They provide structural fire, wildland, and EMS services to both tribal lands and nearby communities.

Community & Response

This large-capacity engine supports long-distance rural and suburban runs. The department, composed of 15 volunteer firefighters, relies on this apparatus to ensure rapid response across tribal roads up to 25 miles out.
