Department Overview

Whatcom County Fire District 1, located in the unincorporated Maple Falls area, serves a rural, mountainous region near the Canadian border. Covering approximately 65 square miles, the district provides fire and EMS services to a population of around 2,500 across small towns, forests, and recreational areas.

Community & Response
