South Whidbey Fire/EMS (SWFE) is an all-hazards fire and rescue agency serving the southern portion of Whidbey Island, Washington. The department operates with a combination of career and volunteer staff, handling roughly 2,600 calls annually over a 66 square-mile district.
Community & Response
The new Fouts 3000 Tender on a Kenworth T480 chassis strengthens the department’s water supply resilience—bolstering capability to support structure fires in more remote or supply-limited portions of the district and enhancing mutual aid support across southern Whidbey Island.
